WaterSam
The water sampling specialists
Exclusively designed and manufactured in Germany, WaterSam samplers feature high-quality materials and components to provide long-term reliability, requiring minimal maintenance. Each sampler undergoes an extensive quality control check before leaving their manufacturing facilities.
The success of WaterSam has been built on decades of experience with water sampling technology. Their technicians’ extensive knowledge and hands-on field experience enables them to continuously refine the WaterSam product designs, incorporating the latest technology and creating innovative new solutions such as the industry’s first multi-axis distributor system.

Controllers
WaterSam controllers feature user-friendly operation and reliability. Both controller types not only enable to the activation of programs at the same time, they can be also run simultaneously. Custom software modifications can easily made upon request.

Standard Controller
The standard WaterSam controller is suitable for a wide variety of applications. Its 4-key user interface is easy to operate, and yet it offers the possibility of running up to 9 sampling programs at the same time. In addition, the standard controller has multiple menu levels, enabling the user to set a code that restricts access to certain menus. The 4 analog inputs and 10 digital inputs enable time-, volume-, flow-, and event-proportional sampling.
A built-in RS-232 serial port permits communication with external devices. With an optional modem, even remote control is a possibility.

MS3
The WaterSam MS3 controller offers user-friendly operation in addition to a range of communications possibilities and the ability to retrieve data from internal and external sources.
Despite the wide-ranging possibilities available, sampler operation is very user-friendly thanks to the 24 keys and large graphic display. Color-coded direct function keys serve to start, pause and stop selected programs. A grab sample can be taken simply by pressing the blue key.
Intelligent sensors can be connected directly to the controller, without the need for a transmitter. If desired, a variety of data can be accessed and retrieved via a USB port.
Sampling Systems
Depending on conditions and requirements, samplers are available with diverse sampling systems:

This high-performance standard system for WaterSam samplers operates with the vacuum/pressure principle and offers many benefits:
- No recalibrating sample volumes after cleaning
- Highest repeatability
- No components to replace often (i.e. no peristaltic pump hose)
- Borosilicate glass metering vessel

Sample Distribution
Direct Bottle Filling with Numerous Possibilities
WaterSam's XY Distributor system has been in use successfully for nearly 20 years. Its wide array of possibilities, reliable operation and minimal follow-up costs have made it the distributor of choice among customers. The two-axis system makes full use of the entire sample storage chamber by using coordinates to travel and locate bottle positions.

The VAR-B system for flow-proportional sampling utilizes the vacuum/pressure principle as well as special technology for contactless sample volume metering. This makes it especially well-suited for very dirty sample media.
The VAR-E vacuum pump sampling system is for flow-proportional sampling, and uses a method developed by WaterSam to meter sample volumes.
The peristaltic pump is well-suited for taking a large-volume sample with a single draw, and flow-proportional samples are also possible with this system.
The FMWW system operates with continuous flow of the sample medium through the metering vessel. Optionally, the flow the can be stopped for the periods in between sampling.
The PRF water switch functions without the need for electrodes. It is therefore ideal for media with low conductivity or media with very corrosive properties.
The INLINEvent is designed for sampling from pressurized lines, and can operate with either a continual flow of the sample medium through the system, or with the flow interrupted during the standby phase in between samples.
The WS INLINEcut is mounted directly onto the pipe with the sample medium, and is actuated purely with pneumatics. It is typically controlled by a WaterSam PLC, however it is also possible to integrate it into an existing controls system. By operating it manually with a simple pneumatic switch, no other controller is needed.
In combination with a standard vacuum sampling system, the WS VacuPress is used to draw samples from depths that are far beyond the reach of other sampling systems.
