DIVER Datalogers by Van Essen
Dedicated to water level monitoring solutions

In the early 1990s, Van Essen began to offer standard water related equipment such as standalone dataloggers, which used external sensors and flow meters for open channels. Van Essen was one of the first companies to develop a tide measuring system for the Rotterdam Harbor. In this project telemetry was used. Telemetry was very advanced for its time and became a key milestone in Van Essen’s growth.
Since the deployment of the first Diver, Van Essen Instruments have sold over 200,000 dataloggers worldwide. Our commitment to quality and performance has established Van Essen Instruments as one of the premier brands in the industry.
TD-Diver
The industry-standard water level datalogger
The TD-Diver is a submersible datalogger for long-term uninterrupted, real-time water level monitoring using a pressure sensor when submerged at a fixed level under the water surface. The pressure sensor measures the equivalent hydrostatic pressure of the water above the sensor diaphragm to calculate the total water depth. The Diver autonomously measures pressure and temperature and records them in its internal memory. The Diver is ideal for ground and surface water level applications.
This Diver features a stainless steel (316 L) casing with a 22 mm diameter. The TD-Diver can store a maximum of 72,000 measurements (date/time, pressure, and temperature) in its working memory and 72,000 measurements in its backup memory.
The TD-Diver samples pressure and temperature at fixed length intervals and stores these values in fixed length or continuous memory.

Remote Monitoring
The Diver-Link is the complete telemetry solution
The Diver-Link is a durable and easy to install telemetry unit for remote monitoring of ground and surface water levels. It features a compact design with the latest 4G/LTE wireless technology and can be used in a variety of bore hole locations such as flush mount and stick-up wells.
It is part of a complete telemetry solution. A remote monitoring system that integrates field instrumentation with wireless communication and data management to effectively manage (ground)water resources. The Diver-Link is suitable for continuous long and short-term monitoring projects.
The Diver-Link transmits data from a single Diver datalogger, connected by a DXT Cable, over a cellular or mobile network. Up to 3 Divers can be connected to the Diver-Link Triple. Both versions of the Diver-Link are available with an internal or external antenna. An external antenna provides better signal strength and coverage, especially in areas with poor reception or in case the Diver-Link is placed inside a metal well casing.
Configuration and management of the Diver-Link is done through the Diver-HUB web portal, a web portal for real-time management of site data, monitoring equipment and water levels.
Deployment of the Diver-Link is simple; insert the battery and connect the unit to a Diver. In the field, the Diver-Link can be operated using the magnetic function keys to activate the unit. Future firmware updates are automatically executed ‘over-the-air’, so there is no need for additional site visits.

Diver-Office is an important part of your water level monitoring workflow and supports all Diver equipment. Setup your monitoring projects and identify your fieldwork tasks; such as a site visit sequence, collection of Diver data and deployment of Divers. Use Diver-Field to carry out the fieldwork and download Diver data. Once the data collection is complete, use Diver-Office to merge time series, barometrically compensate the Diver data to convert them into water levels. Visualize data including manual measurements and export data to MON, CSV or XLSX files for further use in third-party applications.
